DECA: Compete in entrepreneurship cluster events, such as developing real-world marketing and startup plans, and network with like-minded students.

• Virtual Business Challenge (VBC): Participating in a VBC will give firsthand experience in managing your own business without real-life implications. 

Create a startup business: It may seem difficult, but creating a startup is something that high schoolers can do. It’s important to identify a viable business concept, whether it be a product or a service, by doing appropriate market research. Choosing the right platform to begin, such as social media or an online shopping platform like Etsy, is the next step. Most importantly, it’s okay to fail at first! Most successful entrepreneurs only achieved success and fame after multiple attempts at business. 

Summer programs like LaunchX: Provides hands-on experience with startups and teaches important entrepreneurial skills. 

Organize events: Organizing events such as fundraisers provide key inisghts on how to work with the various aspects of business, such as budgeting, delegating work, managing material, and contacting various organizations to arrange a working system.

School Clubs:

• Mock Trial/ Speech & Debate/ Model United Nations: They teach how to analyze situations, formulate ideas/ pitches, talk persuasively, and communicate professionally.

• Drama: It teaches how to be confident, storytelling, and how to work in a team with deadlines.

• Coding: With technology becoming even more important in business, especially with AI, knowing how to code is a crucial skill for entrepreneurs, even if they aren’t in the technology industry.
